mini session stories // trees have feelings
Trees have feelings.
November 2015
So here’s a little story about a girl who felt sorry for her Christmas tree.
She was so excited to search for the perfect tree at the tree farm to bring home to decorate. She told me of her plans to make a popcorn garland with her mom and dad and listen to music while they watched the lights twinkle.
We searched and searched for just the right tree. A beautiful green pine “as tall as daddy.”
When it was time for bailing the tree, she got a little sad. Even though she was still happy to take the tree home, she worried about it getting tied up. Her mom held her hand with care and assured her that the tree was safe and happy.
I love seeing little glimpses like this into the personality of my subjects. Having empathy for a tree is a beautiful thing in this world and I hope she never loses that. Now, she is quite a bit older, and she still loves nature just as much, if not more!
Whether the story is about your family picking out your perfect tree or building sandcastles at the beach, it is YOUR FAMILY living your life together. These are real moments that you share, making more candid, lifestyle photos for your family to cherish forever.
Let’s hang out at the tree farm and pick out your favorite Christmas tree for some family portraits and hangtime with your favorite people on the planet.
Love your photographer,
Anna
