the five best things to do at your tree farm mini session

I love this tree farm. And I love taking photos of my families there. Not only is the landscape beautiful, but it has been family-owned and operated for decades. I even remember going there as a kid!

Why do I love it??

  1. Pick out your Holiday tree!!

The trees are beautiful and they have varieties, which is so nice. You can pick the tree that suits your family best!!

  2. Customize a wreath or garland

Ok so this is one of my favorite things about this farm. The two ladies that make the wreaths are the COOLEST. I love staying after my sessions and chatting with them. You can choose to buy one of their beautiful wreaths at the family store or you can chat with the ladies and see if they would be down for making a custom order (if you’re lucky, you might even get a tamale out of it) and definitely delightful conversation.

  3. Check out the family store

Well, that last point set this one up nicely. The family store has homemade cookies, cider, coffee, aforementioned wreaths and garlands, honey, jam, holiday decor, and more! I strongly encourage my families to show up at their session ready to support the farm by purchasing a tree or an item from the store. Let’s support our local, family-owned businesses!

  4. Play with your furry family members!

This farm is so cool. They even let you bring your pupper! I’ve had the best time photographing families with all of their loved ones, including pets.

  5. Chat with really nice folks

Pfaff’s Old Time Farm is the most welcoming place - family-owned tree farm - expansive views, mount rainier in the background, barns, nature, and sunshine. What more could you ask for?!

So, if you’ve been way too busy to schedule family pictures, or you just keep putting them off because, LIFE, consider a tree farm mini session. They are quick, easy, and build family memories like you wouldn’t believe!!

love your photographer,

Anna
