2018 highlights

WOW.

What a year!! I’m blown away by the amazing things I was able to experience. From traveling, to clocking in hundreds of hours extending my education, to placing in the documentary family awards, and most importantly, hanging out with my lovely families and photographing their beautiful lives.

This is truly the best job ever.

january

started a year long mentoring with world renown documentary family photographer Kirsten Lewis.

march

collaborated with my photog buddies to start a super rad instagram hub called The Beautiful Real. we feature work from fellow documentary family photographers that emphasize the beauty of every day, REAL life.

april

began my personal project, photographing women owned businesses in seattle.

may

photographed one of my favorite families in Charlotte, NC.

june

traveled to Denver to photograph a sweet family and get hands on training from my mentor.

sept

attended podcasting week at creative live and pitched my female founders project in front of millions of viewers.

october

attended photo week, chatted it up with Ami Vitale, learned so much from the founders of TONL, and had the honor of David Alan Harvey reviewing my work.

dec

placed 7th in the Documentary Family Awards for environmental portrait.
