my personal project // photographing female entrepreneurs in seattle

A couple years ago I started thinking. About my daughter growing up and knowing without a doubt she is capable of accomplishing her dreams.

Even the big ones.

After months and months of brainstorming, researching, and chatting about strong women, we came up with a plan. To chat with as many female founders as we can, take pictures that show how hard they work/love their jobs and interview them (that part I’m leaving to my kid).

We are just at the beginning of the project. Most of our time has been spent researching and networking with local boss babes. Here are a few behind the scenes snaps of our first photo shoot with Ice from Cortona Cafe in Seattle’s Central District.

We are so pumped about it and proud of what we are creating.

But I have to be honest, my favorite part about the whole thing is just working on a special project with my girl. It’s really exciting to see her lead the way.
